Our History

The Cabin at Big Bend Farm was built in the early 1900s as a family destination vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Knowlson and Ray families purchased the farm and would take the train down from Chicago to enjoy the solitude and serenity of the Cowpasture River.

Sometimes, you forget how to unplug and just breathe. Big Bend Farm is like my “off switch”.
